This monastery is operated by the Maria Madre della Chiesa del Centro Communitario.

The traditional look of this venue really gives it an authentic feel, which goes hand in hand with what is one of Tuscany's most panoramic areas. Guests can enjoy a clean and peaceful environment.

Breakfast is included in the price. Other meals are available in the dining room and a bar is open for drinks. There is a local restaurant at a 3 minute walk from the guest house

Getting Around

Located in central Tuscany in the picturesque area of Casalguidi. Close to Pistoia, Prato, Lucca and Florence. Countryside with town access. Well located for walking through Casalguidi. Transport to central and surrounding locations is nearby. A car provides most flexibility and easy access.

	Piero looked after us very well, there was nothing that he would not do. He had excellent knowledge of all that there was to do in the area. We were able to use the extensive building for our singing sessions each day.

	Porto was an excellent host who was so kind and informative about the area. After leaving with our room key by mistake he even drive 30 minutes to Florence to come retrieve it from us. Such a beautiful place with excellent service

	We really loves staying at Centro Communitario for many reasons. We were beautifully hosted and fed wonderful meals, both breakfast and dinner. The house is beautiful and we loved sitting in the verandah or Looking at the beautiful views around us. The location is great for visiting places like Vinci, Lucca and San Gimiano as well as convenient to some nice pizzerias & restaurants in nearby towns. We highly recommend this place for a peaceful place to stay and a great place to see Tuscany. Thank you Pierrot!

	Although I don't think this is technically a traditional monastery (more of a community center/religious retreat), my husband and I enjoyed our 3 nights here. It was November 2012, so we were the only ones here except for the groundskeeper. He was very accommodating, and set out breakfast for us every day. The room was simple but large, clean and perfectly quiet. There was a tv, but the satellite or cabling didn't work very well.
