Pietralba is a very small village in Italy's north. Its main attraction is a beautiful chapel located adjacent to the lodging. It has been a popular pilgrimage site since 1630 when a farmer in the area saw a vision of the Virgin Mary. Both Pope John Paul I and Pope John Paul II have resided there over Summer. The quaint city of Bolzano is less than an hour away by car, giving guests the chance to experience this gorgeous multi-lingual town where locals often speak both Italian and German.

This strikingly elegant white alpine building is typical of the area with multiple levels and a castle-like structure including period-style archways both inside and out. Surrounded by mountains and forest areas, it provides a fantastic panoramic view.
