This is a great monastery in a clean and pleasant environment. This is a highly recommended stay for those looking for something off the beaten track but still wants to take in some of the rich history and culture present in the area.The main square in the city is Piazza dei Martiri, which contains the City Tower, which was rebuilt after it was destroyed in World War II. The most captivating and historic part of Ostra is the old city walls, which are still perfectly preserved after so many years. The two entrances and 9 defensive towers are still intact.
