While Varazze is not a city commonly found on the itinerary of tourists, this is definitely a place worth visiting. The town has a wonderful, calm atmosphere, the sights are amazing and The Europe Promenade is an ideal way to spend a day while on vacation. A sublime offering.

While staying in Varazze, there are many famous and historic sights scattered around the city, waiting for you to explore them. There are many churches and cathedrals in the city, some with hundreds of years of history. The Church of Sant'Ambrogio contains a fresco by well known Italian artist Luca Cambiasi. The remains of the old walls of the city can still be seen in some parts of the edge of Varazze. Directly in front of the monastery, running along the water is the famous Lungomare Europa (The Europe Promenade), a stunning walking trail that follows the coast all the way to Cogoleto, which is to the east.
