Exceptionally polite and helpful staff, despite language barrier. The cleaners were particularly helpful and kind. I got unwell midway through my stay so didn’t have the best experience, however I felt very safe and secure at all times.

Peaceful stay, met all of my expectations! Thank you!
John - IL, United States (May 2024)
The rooms, sheets, towels etc were very clean. The sisters were very accommodating and tried to support us with a few requests we had as a family of 4. Sisters were reachable via WhatsApp which was very helpful as we were international travelers with no local phone number. Overall was a pleasant stay and will recommend for anyone who is ok with staying about 20 mins bus/metro ride from major attractions. The location was nice and in a safe neighborhood.

My family had a wonderful stay at Istituto Madre Zileri. The Sisters were kind and helpful, the room was clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The main tourist sites are easily accessible by a short bus ride.

This is an excellent venue for a contemplative visit to Rome. It is roomy enough, quiet, clean, and the en suite toilet and shower are sufficient. It is away from the craziness, but not too far away. Several bus lines are right out front. There is a local neighborhood with a few stores and restaurants a few blocks away. The Monastery/Convent "management" is present, but not overbearing. Everyone is helpful. EZ in and out 6AM-11PM.

I enjoy returning to this monastery. Location is ideal and the sisters are very helpful.
Ann - OR, United States (October 2011)
It was quiet, secure, impeccably clean. We are not Catholic but we apprieciated the reverent environment, the spiritual-mindedness of the nuns, and the absence of tourist oriented "stuff." The bed was a little too firm, but this was a minor inconvenience. Recommend to people who do not demand luxury, a TV, or availablity of the usual tourist requirements,

It was QUIET. I needed time to reajust to the time difference and I was able to get alot of sleep while here. I am terrible at languages - so all the nuns except 1 didn't speak English - it took some time to be let in as I couldn't understand what was being said.
Sonia - New South Wales, Australia (September 2008)
it was a great cultural experience and an interesting alternative to a hotel or hostel. it was quiet and the nuns were very friendly. few of the nuns spoke any english, so communication was challenging at times. however, the nuns we could communicate with went out of their way to help us with travel plans. the 11pm curfew was slightly limiting for seeing rome at night.
Abby - PA, United States (April 2008)
Room was larger than what we expected, also, a nice bathroom. Nuns were wonderful even though we could only speak fractured Italian at best.
Also, several nuns spoke English and at least one was always available when we needed her. One in particular was young, joyful, and just plain fun to talk to. She was helpful with providing a wonderful transportation map of Rome as well as where to buy groceries nearby, and a few buses directly to places of interest rather than our having to go to Termini first. Maybe the curfew because we wanted to go to the opera one night and couldn't.
The curfew was not a major problem. We would go back to stay again. At the end, the nuns told us we were great guests and would like us back.
Pat - MN, United States (April 2008)
I loved the convent - it was peaceful and comfortable. Peaceful and quiet after a hectic day of touring. Comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. The balcony was a bonus. Mother Clara was wonderful - so helpful and welcoming.
