House of the Figli di Maria Immacolata - Padri Pavoniani
This opulent venue was once a royal Villa but has been transformed into an amazing guest house for travelers. Guests can explore the grounds and soak up the extensive history and fabulously decorated rooms that make up its interior. Within close proximity of the town center, this venue's location means other historic villas and popular tourist attractions are easily accessible.
When in Lonigo, tourists admire its breathtaking villas. Villa Pisani, in particular, is a breathtaking Renaissance patrician villa designed by Andrea Palladio. It is part of a World Heritage Site.
The church of San Fermo is located next to this venue and has a rich history shown by its typical Venetian Renaissance design. It holds artwork by Luigi Borro and Antonia Dal Zotto, and contains a statute of Luigi Ferrari, which was originally for Saint Peters Basilica in Rome.
Rated 4.4 out of 5
I read the notes about Villa San Fermo being best accessed by car, but was determined to find my way there by public transport. Not easy. Lonigo is a small town about 10 minutes drive from the main train line and buses from the train to the town are sporadic during the day. The staff at the Villa were pleasant, and my room comfortable. I was very grateful to Brother Natale for showing me the gorgeous state rooms on the final morning of my stay. The parklands that the Villa is set in are beautiful, definitely make the effort to walk around and have a look. I'd recommend this place to people who have their own car so they can easily explore the district, and those who enjoy a peaceful natural environment.
This monastery is operated by the Figli di Maria Immacolata - Padri Pavoniani.
This venue is a grandiose palace that is surrounded by a stunning garden designed by Gaetano Balzaretto, also known as 'The Magician of the Gardens of Milan'. A courtyard completes the picture along with period style features like cloisters.
Breakfast is included in the price. Other meals are available (additional) and bookings can be arranged with reception during certain times of the year.

A nice place and good experience over all.

I never imagined the elegance nor the conveniences that would be at our stay. It was absolutely beautiful and serene. The abbey was in a 19th century chateau that had been maintained and remodeled to include all modern conveniences, including air conditioning. The view was gorgeous. There were plenty of walking paths along the grounds to explore. It was nestled near a quaint, friendly village. There was nothing that was not good. I am bragging to everyone that asks about our stay.
