Customer Reviews
Happy with stay
Joanne - NSW, Australia (June 2024)
We arrived early and ? Anton ? let us lock our bags. The Casa was very clean and in a very safe and convenient location. He was always so helpful when we asked any questions. Our room was spotless, larger than most and had everything it promised. Breakfast was at a restaurant across the street and very tasty and substantial. Check out was easy. We will definitely stay at the Casa per Ferie again. I will recommend to anyone.

I enjoyed my stay at Casa per Ferie I Cappucini. I had an accident with my phone charger The receptionist was very helpful and was able to loan me one. He also gave me lots of information about what to see and do in Rome. The accommodation was clean with everything i needed and the position next to the Metro was so convenient. Thank you I will return!
Christine - Herts, United Kingdom (March 2024)
I am recommending Monastery Stays to all of my acquaintances and colleagues traveling to Rome in the Future. The Casa per Ferie Cappucini was the superior to any hotel in the same price range.
Robert - IA, USA (March 2024)
Great facility, room was probably recently renovated and completely comfortable.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Location of facility was ideal, next to Metro or an easy walk to central sites, and on the subdued and elegant Via Vittorio Veneto. Breakfast voucher was for Suggestium Cafe across the street, which I liked so much that I had dinner there as well on two nights.
Martin - NY, United States (April 2023)
We were quite satisfied with this accommodation. To make a suggestion, it would be a very good idea to change the pillows - one soft & one medium for each guest. Our pillows were unyielding & quite uncomfortable for an aging arthritic neck. The shower is beginning to show signs of use. The breakfast could be elaborated, the offering of one coffee & one cornetto was spartan.
Theresa - VA, United States (April 2023)
Excellent location, rooms
Marie - , United Kingdom (March 2023)
We were so grateful to be able to stay in this beautiful lodgings and it was a very special opportunity for our students, who had so little time in Italy. They loved Rome and they loved the monastery! Thank you again and again for your kindness to us.

It would have been more convenient if the Barberini Metro stop had been operating.
The staff at the convent and at the restaurant were both very nice.
Barbara - NJ, United States (September 2019)
The room was basic but clean, bed was comfortable and quiet welcome especially after a long day of sight seeing. The bathroom was large. Location was perfect and near public transportation (buses & train).
Lilibeth - NJ, United States (November 2018)
Staff were extremely accommodating - like family - and room was extremely quiet and comfortable.
Rev. - British Columbia, Canada (September 2018)
Casa per Ferie I Cappuccini was perfect. The location was central to lots of popular attractions in Rome which we could walk to and as an added bonus the Metro station was right there to link us to places a little further away like the Vatican and Colosseum. There were 24 people in our group and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Rooms were clean, quiet and dark which made for great sleeping. The restaurant downstairs provided a great meeting spot for our group. I’ve been to Rome multiple times and would certainly come back to this Monastery.
Angela - NH, USA (July 2018)
My husband and I loved staying here! The location was perfect and the cleanliness was impeccable!
Marian - NJ, United States (May 2017)
Everything was perfect and everyone was so very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again. We have already recommended Casa per Ferie to friends and family.
Colleen - VA, United States (October 2016)
Desk clerk Gevorg was especially helpful to us. I would definitely stay here on my next trip to Rome.
Barbara - CA, United States (October 2016)
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Casa per Ferie I Cappuccini. It was our first time at a monastery environment. The hotel is in a lovely location and right near the metro, bus and taxi to go anywhere. Our room was very clean and peaceful in its simplicity. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was so happy to be right next door to the Church. Thanks very much for this experience.
Mary Beth - VA, United States (September 2016)
It was absolutely wonderful. It was so clean, so well cared for, and in probably the best location we could have asked for - highly recommend it.
Gary - Ontario, Canada (September 2016)
Perfect in every way. The best beds, linens, pillows ever. Beautiful rooms. Very good location. We LOVED it here.
Vicki - KY, United States (September 2016)
Had a lovely stay, very comfy bed, excellent powerful shower.
Brian - Merseyside, United Kingdom (August 2016)
Very happily surprised at how nice the accommodations are! Comfortable, clean and glad to support the monastery as well. Great location that is right by a metro stop and a short walk to Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, etc.
Hans - MD, United States (July 2016)
The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The location could not have been better. We were at the center of everything we wanted to see. We traveled mostly by foot, but it was nice to have a Metro station in the neighborhood. The restaurant in the building was excellent and had a nice atmosphere. The accommodationswere quiet and private; we looked forward to coming back at the end of the day.
Kelly - PA, United States (May 2016)
This is our second Monastery Stay experience, Casa per Ferie I Cappuccino was definitely more like a traditional hotel--very professionally run, great service, and outstanding location. I only gave the rooms an "8" because some people might expect more amenities. We loved everything about this accommodation!
Janet - CA, United States (May 2016)
There are many places, very fancy or grand looking, but where the essentials for a good stay are missing and you can't really get a good night sleep. This place is exactly the opposite, nothing fancy, but where all the essentials are there and of excellent quality. A very quiet and peaceful place (which was the most important thing for us), excellent bed, very clean, elevator, all in a perfect location. Not to forget the very nice people. Definitely a place to return to.
Bogdan - , Romania (October 2015)
Nothing but good things to say about our stay. Everything was above our expectations.
Gordon - CT, United States (October 2015)
It was a very nice hotel. The hotel was clean, had ample space, ample closet space and was very quiet (we were on the third floor). There was no street noise (windows had shutters and were double paned).
Raphael - NY, United States (September 2015)
We loved Casa per Ferie I Cappuccini. The staff were just lovely and the facility was heavenly.
Julieanna - CA, United States (June 2015)
Casa per Ferie I Cappuccini (LAR259) was excellent! The front desk staff and housekeeping staff were so kind and helpful. Our room was very clean, roomy, and updated. We picked this Monastery because of the location- it was central to all the major sites in Rome, so we could walk or take the metro easily. We arrived from the airport by taxi, but used the metro(station directly outside the building) which was very convenient.
Maria - NY, United States (May 2015)
Staff is very friendly and helpful. The whole house has been recently renovated and is in very good condition.
If possible, ask for a room located on the courtyard where there is almost no noise from the street.
Dominique - Belgium, Belgium (May 2015)
Many, many thanks to the staff who was so helpful and accommodating. The location (right next to the Barberini Metro stop) was excellent, and the neighborhood was safe and friendly. Rooms were clean and spacious and secure.
Debra - MN, United States (May 2015)
What a delightful and up to date place to stay. Casa per Ferie is excellently located near Barbarini Square. You can walk every-place. Rooms are very spacious and the staff was very helpful. Although our room faced the street, with the shutters and windows adjusted little street noise was noticed.
Phyllis - CA, United States (April 2015)
We enjoyed our stay immensely. Laura was very attentive to our questions, needs and concerns. The location is excellent! We will highly recommend to our family and friends.
Carol - Ontario, Canada (September 2014)
Exemplary service from Front Desk, over and beyond job description; efficient housekeeping in the rooms; quiet atmosphere--- you don't hear the next room's activity bec of the thick walls; quiet street, no passersby laughing or chatting. Everything is so new and hopefully future guests will help keep them that way.
