God bless you!
Marek - , Czech Republic (May 2023)
This was a perfect location to the train station and the colosseum. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to. We stayed the the San Antonio wing which was a little out of the way in the sense we did not have wifi service. The wifi service was spotty throughout the building. Having the bathroom outside of the room was no problem. It was spotless. I think we were the only ones on our wing.
I wish we were told about the common eating/cooking area. It was a fully equipped kitchen and eating area. We would have brought our food there to eat and maybe even prepared it. Overall, it was a great place to stay and I would go back. The sisters were very accommodating. They were kind to allow us to attend Sunday Mass with them.
Judith - OR, United States (May 2023)
Dear Ladies, thank you for having me in your place. Everything was perfect and I have already recommended you to my friends.
Nela - , Bulgaria (April 2023)
Absolutely a great location. Would love to stay again.
Easy access to train station, easy walking into Rome as a tourist.
Even as an English (non Italian) we managed just fine with the nuns.
Elizabeth - ON, Canada (October 2022)
We especially enjoyed the roof terrace with its 360 degree view over Rome and the beautiful, shady, quiet garden. Our only criticism would be that the breakfast is very basic. This was my 4th stay here and hopefully not my last!
Jenny - MIDLOTHIAN, United Kingdom (September 2022)
So close to the train station, hop on bus, even all the sights, the local neighbourhood was excellent re eating and shopping I didn't need to go further afar! Facilities were wonderful, our room s had a private terrace, and the roof terrace was high up that we could see a lot of Rome. The nuns were so helpful and organised our taxi to the airport. I will recommend this place to all my friends
Janet - , New Zealand (August 2019)
I enjoyed my stay and found all the nuns very warm and friendly though they did not speak English and I don't speak Italian. There was no AC in the room but a fan was provided and I had a balcony with 2 chairs and a table where I could sit in the evening. (There was an unexpected heat wave in Rome during my stay.) Also the roof had wonderful views of the city.
Anne B - NY, United States (June 2019)
Had great stay here! Would definitely recommend! Great healthy breakfast, nuns very helpful and eager to please. Only complaint is no AC so was very hot, but fans helped and did cool at night.
Lisa - MN, United States (June 2019)
My daughter and I enjoyed our visit to the convent so very much! The entire facility is exceptionally clean and beautiful and we especially loved the rooftop terrace. We look forward to our next visit.
Lynn - CT, United States (March 2019)
Thank you again for welcoming us, we were hosted with warmth, simplicity and sincerity. We recommend this place for its calm and peace.
Fanny - , France (March 2019)
This was a perfect place to stay! We were in the heart of everything either within walking distance, get the train or a taxi. This is the safest place to stay in Rome and the Sisters we all very friendly and especially nice Sister Irene and Sister Jemma. We will definitely be back! We asked others on our tours where they were staying the the price they paid this was definitely a savings.
Sarah-Michelle - AZ, US (October 2018)
Amazing! Everybody was lovely and very helpful, the gardens and rooftop terrace were beautiful and my room was so sweet!
Ms. - VIC, Australia (July 2018)
Centuries of hospitality leaves its mark. I spent a fabulous five nights at Casa di Accoglienza Suore di Santa Elisabetta in Rome. Ideally located five minutes walk from Roma Termini station, ten minutes walk from the Colosseum, Forum, and most tourist sites. It's a very secure and well-run house with a simple but filling breakfast and quiet nights for its very central location. Highly recommend and will stay again!
Jeffrey - CA, United States (April 2018)
The sisters are very welcoming, The front desk staff were very helpful in giving directions and plans. I give less for rooms and sleep quality because the room was facing on the street and a bit noisy with the people on the street at late night .The location was perfect , very accessible to everything.
Eden - BC, Canada (March 2018)
This is a great location and the service and location are top class. If I return to Rome again this will be my no. 1 choice.
Aidan - CO WESTMEATH, Ireland (September 2017)
Walked from station. Sister in reception had limited English, but perfectly adequate for us. Well situated. Really good breakfast, with a selection of cereals, yogurt, cold meat, juice, coffee, breads. The bathroom was fine and we had everything we needed. There was also a water fountain where we could fill our bottles with good drinking water.
Linda - Ontario, Canada (September 2017)
The sisters were lovely but English was limited. It may be helpful to have more signs posted or sisters with better English on the reception.
Eric N. - METRO MANILA, Philippines (July 2017)
Everything was great. Air-conditioning would help improve sleep quality. Roof top terrace was incredible.
Antonio - BC, Canada (July 2017)
The terrace has the most beautiful view in the city of Rome I've ever seen. Also, there is a lovely little restaurant around the corner called Ristorante Rocca. Highly recommend!
Kaelin - PA, United States (July 2017)
The nuns are so kind. They initiated arranging an early breakfast for us so we would not have to leave hungry for early flights. The gardens and rooftop for worship were fantastic. The fans on hot days made for some of our best sleep. What a goldmine in the heart of the city!
Sandra - TX, United States (June 2017)
I dont find any reason to take hotels when you have the most courteous Sisters helping you out with the most neat and clean rooms. It is besides Termini and also Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore. It is at the epicentre. I would surely recommend to all.
James - Gujarat, India (March 2017)
Although the house was quite busy and they had to deal with all sorts of requests from guests, the Sisters were always calm and very kind - which was particularly appreciated when I was pickpocketed on the bus and needed to report the loss of my credit card to my bank. Our rooms were comfortable and had everything we wanted. The balconies and the lovely roof terrace were an extra bonus.
Eleanor - Kent, United Kingdom (March 2017)
Enjoyed our stay here, the Nuns were very helpful and friendly. Our room had a terrace and there was also a roof terrace with wonderful views. Great breakfast. Close to station.
Robyn - , New Zealand (August 2016)
The nuns were very friendly and helpful! As for the rooms, there's no AC in the rooms, so this would not be the place to stay in the summer months( July-August) only a fan and you have to keep windows open all night. They should have screens on windows to keep bugs out! There should also be fans in the kitchen and common room as it's very hot. The beds were ok and you could feel the coils in some of them. My daughter didn't sleep well as she could feel them. If you do decide to use this place in the summer, stay in a down stairs room as it cooler on main floor. Forget the view...
Ciao
Tina - ID, United States (July 2016)
The rooftop view is fabulous. Two blocks from a tour hop-a-bus stop, and a half-block from a tourist info kiosk. Across the street from the police station, so we felt super secure. Many restaurants in a variety of price ranges within easy walking distance. Breakfast included meat in a room with beautiful paintings on the ceiling. Six blocks from Termini (train station w/ easy access to airport) and a twenty-minute stroll to the Colosseum, which I could see lit at night from my room. Beautiful gardens and chapel for quiet reflection. Peaceful atmosphere. Appears to have been newly refurbished. Not air-conditioned, but room had an oscillating fan. Nuns spoke little English, but we got by. I stayed in three monasteries on this trip to see which worked best for a group I'm taking next year. This one was the clear favorite for Rome. Entrance is not super clearly marked--but if you get to the police station, enter the door across the street from it.
Sandra L - TX, United States (July 2016)
This is a special place to stay in Rome. It is a haven of peace and serenity in a busy city. Go for the rooftop terrace alone. It is an easy 10 minute walk from Roma Termini (and the shuttle Leonardo Express, to and from the airport). Rooms are small with high ceilings and big windows.I had a modern en suite bathroom with shower and lots of hot water. Breakfast is yogurt, granola, bread, salami and cheese slices, jam and a sliced cake. There is a small vending machine too. The sisters are lovely and even if they dont speak English they communicate well. You leave your key at the desk when you go out, and ask for it at reception when you come in, so know your room number in Italian or write it down. The convent is always locked so the Sisters buzz you in and you press a button to go out. If you are lucky you hear singing early morning. Lots of bird sound too.
Helen - Ontario, Canada (June 2016)
Perfect location, friendly and helpful nuns, nice and quiet garden
Katarina - , Sweden (May 2016)
We had a lovely stay. The rooms were great and it was very well organised. The location was amazing and the roof top view was the best in the city.
Rebecca - Rutland, United Kingdom (March 2016)
My wife and I just returned from an eight-night stay at Casa di Accoglienza Suore di Santa Elisabetta, and we were very much impressed with the accommodations as well as the kindness and friendliness of the sisters.
Wayne - CT, United States (March 2015)
Please thank the Sisters for all their kindness, information, advice and assistance. I will return to Rome and stay with them again. Thank you all so much for the special stay and I appreciate all their hard work and blessings.
Jayne - Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom (December 2014)
A great choice! We were a group of 10 (Girl Guide Rangers) - 8 teenagers in two quad rooms, 2 adults in a twin room. The rooms were clean, the beds comfy, space to move around, ensuite with a decent washroom. Only downside: only one plug in the whole room. Proved quite a challenge when we wanted to recharge iPods, tablets and camera batteries.
The location was perfect. A 5-10 minute walk from Stazione Termini, a block from Santa Maria Maggiore and the hop on/hop off bus stop, across the street from a police station, around the corner from a grocery store. Lots of restaurants in the surrounding streets, a couple of blocks from an internet cafe.
Breakfast was typical European - crusty rolls, cold cuts, cheese, yogurt, muesli, corn flakes, coffee, hot chocolate, tea, milk, juice…lots available, certainly filling.
The sisters don't speak English, but somehow we were able to communicate and understand each other.
Joelyn - Ontario, Canada (August 2014)
A beautiful monastery in a great location! Walking distance to the wonderfully eclectic and artistic Monti area. Sisters were very kind and always accommodating, regardless of the language barrier. Breakfast far exceeded expectations - a great selection was provided and the dining room was beautiful. Would certainly recommend this monastery to friends and family, and would definitely stay here when returning to Rome.
Lucia - Queensland, Australia (May 2014)
As in all the convents I've stayed, the rooms are spartan, but very adequate and very clean. The breakfast was plenty for me. No English is spoken which made it a bit difficult. But, the nuns were very nice and helpful.
The facility is locked tight after curfew, no in or out which was a challenge for an early flight. A very sleepy (but smiling) sister came to our rescue to let us out.
360 degree rooftop terrace - fantastic.
I will definitely return. Good value, great location.
Steven - TN, USA (January 2014)
Clean rooms. Breakfast was better than expected--juice, coffee, tea, yoghurt, dry cereal, cheese and cold cuts.
Garden was pleasant and peaceful and it was a nice amenity along with the roof top terrace. The nuns were pleasant but spoke almost no English but this was expected from previous reviews.
Arlene - OH, United States (September 2013)
The nuns were very courteous and considerate. The breakfast was just enough to fuel a busy day of sightseeing. The coffee was delicious. All my questions were answered and they were very patient with my basic Italian. The location was great as Termini Station is only a five minute walk away and there are many great restaurants and a few churches to see near the convent itself. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would reccommend it to anyone!
Krista - MN, United States (February 2013)
The Sisters were simply fantastic, they were so hospitable and warm.
Above all the terrace on top of the convent, with 360 degree views of Rome is magnificent. Our group spent a lot of time on the terrace and it made our journey truly special.
Lauren - Victoria, Australia (August 2011)
Everything was excellent - great views from my room and of course from the upstairs terrace. The sisters were lovely.
Lauren - Victoria, Australia (April 2011)
The room was very noisy due to hearing the people on the street and the cars below us throughout the night. The top floor terrace had a fantastic view. Without air conditioning, we had to leave the window open. Therefore, we heard too much street noise to get a good night sleep.
Stephen - MD, United States (May 2009)
Location, condition of rooms, pleasantness of the sisters
