the Sisters were so kind and helpful. Gave us a tour of Santa Brigida's room where she spent her last days and hours. The Chapel was very beautiful attended Holy Mass in the morning. Wifi as a bit weak on the 2nd floor but great on the third floor. The roof top terrace was very splendid.
Robert - BC, Canada (April 2024)
The sisters were very friendly. The location was great for exploring the “Heart of Rome.”
Patrice - WI, United States (June 2023)
A very nice place to stay. The Nuns were delightful and helpful. Could leave luggage there for a few days which was a great help.
Rosemary - WA, Australia (May 2023)
Regarding breakfast, the Sisters were very accommodating so that we could have breakfast early.
Fr. - OH, United States (May 2023)
Fantastic location; used roof terrace for picnics, decent breakfast with espresso/capuccino machine.
Evelyn - ON, Canada (May 2023)
My room overlooked Piazza Farnese, which was noisy at night.
There was also some confusion over the room booking with the nuns as the monastery stays booking had been sent to them with 2 others and had initially been overlooked, so I ended up being given a twin room, rather than a single room, so I was happy.
Steve - Surrey, United Kingdom (May 2023)
This was my first stay there but I hope it won’t be my last. I really liked the ambience of the house. It was very conducive to rest after a busy day buzzing about Rome. The rooftop terrace was delightful.
Daniel - Glasgow, United Kingdom (April 2022)

The Casa Di Santa Brigida is a beautiful, safe haven in central Rome, whose nuns are caring, helpful, and hospitable. Many speak English. Breakfast is most enjoyable where you meet the pilgrims coming to
Rome, colleagues and others in the hostel, all of whom are warm and friendly. The Casa is located in the most beautiful spot in Rome, piazza Farnese, near the Princely Palazzo Farnese, and next to
Rome's delightful Campo dei Fiori, a site for vendors of food, flowers, and assorted merchandise during the day, which becomes a delightful square at night, surrounded by cafes and coffee bars.

We were very happy at the convent. The nuns were wonderful and accommodating.
The vespers service on this Saturday afternoon of our arrival was beautiful.
We dined to evenings at the convent And the food was delicious.
We look forward to many return visits.

The location in Piazza Farnese can't be beat--it is in the heart of the historic district and walking distance to everything. It, however, is not a full service hotel. The sisters are extremely nice, but don't do much more than call a taxi for you. Also, the breakfast used to be much more substantial. (This is my third stay here.) They are located only a two minute walk from the fruit and vegetable market, but there is no fruit offered at breakfast, just bread, cheese, and ham. Also, the coffee is just American coffee in a pot--no cappucino. There is a rooftop terrace with chairs and tables with lovely views of Rome, but if you want to have a drink up there, you have to bring your own. They say they have air conditioning, but it is minimal at best--we bought an oscillating fan which helped a little. All in all, a good place to stay if you don't mind the ascetic nature of the place.

Fantastic experience! Highly recommend. Would definitely stay there again!
Yasmin - CA, United States (June 2019)
Absolutely beautiful convent and the sisters were so sweet and helpful. The location was ideal for us and we really enjoyed the Papal Audience as well.
Karen - CA, United States (November 2018)
This is one of the hidden gems of Rome. The location is lovely right on the Piazza Farnese next to Michelangelo's facade (now the French embassy) and around the corner from the Campo di Fiori outdoor flower, fruit, vegetable market. The sisters are very kind and helpful. It is, of course, a quiet space, a kind of refuge from the crowds and noise. There are tables and chairs up on the roof on a level with beautiful bell towers. I loved the fresh bread, coffee and fruit at breakfast. The rooms have been upgraded since the last time we were there. It was perfect for us.
Barbara - North Carolina, United States (June 2018)
It was a profound experience!
Gianpiero - , Malta (May 2018)

Dan - IL, USA (March 2018)
This is such an excellent place to stay; centrally located in Old Rome, near the Campo dei Fiori. The Sisters are so cordial and helpful the guests are also. I will always stay here when in Rome.
Merribell - TX, United States (January 2018)
I am very happy about my stay. The best location; everything is in walking distance. The sisters are very caring and they run the facility very professionally. I will certainly recommend this to friends.

Catherine - New South Wales, Australia (June 2017)
The Monastery was centrally located writhin walking distance (if one is a walker) of the usual areas of interest to the tourist. Very serene location, beautiful rooftop garden Wonderful breakfast, especially the popover style bread. Lovely retreat!
Maria - AZ, United States (May 2017)
The sisters were so hospitable and gracious. I was given a very nice room facing the piazza. Surely quiet in the night that I slept soundly. The place is serene. You may attend mass every morning with the sisters. No worries for English-speaking guests. I am thankful to the sisters for accommodating my requests. They would attend to your needs from check-in to check-out. A pleasant stay all in all.
Vivian - , Singapore (October 2016)
My first stay ever at a convent was completely enjoyable. The nuns were attentive and kind, even helping to secure a taxi to the airport and waiting with me until it arrived. I am very impressed and will be back!
Pam - NY, United States (August 2016)
Ecellent service and stay. The nuns were great hostess and the meals were superb. The dinners were a home cooked family style dinner and were excellent. Best cookrd meal we had in italy. The sisters were gracious hosts and helpful anf accomadating to our need for help and assistance.
The location is asuperb location to all of what you want to see in Rome. All major points of interest were with in easy walking distance or by taxi.
Clifford - CA, United States (July 2016)
Casa di Santa Brigida was the most delightful accommodation. The sisters were so helpful and friendly, the breakfast was superb (the peaches and pears!!), and the room itself and location were perfect.
Dale - NY, United States (September 2015)
An experience beyond excellence, the sisters at Casa di Santa Brigida are happy, friendly, welcoming, wonderful people, I really don't have words to express the feeling of being home away from home. The house was a pleasure to be in, inspiring, clean, the terrace was full of colorful flowers without a speck of dust anywhere to be found. Food was excellent with great variety and a real Italian experience with fresh baked bread everyday, the best wines, fresh fruit with multiple selection, the main entries and multiple course dishes that follow really represent the best of Italy, we loved their deserts that included fresh fruit and ice cream. Additionally to the good quality ingredients used in the gourmet food preparation the sisters pay remarkable attention to serve meals with a touch of elegance and glamour one can only experience in a convent. We can only say thank you for letting us enjoy the pleasures of the most pleasant stay.
Magnolia - NY, United States (July 2015)
The sisters provide excellent hospitality. They take good care of their guests. The meals are better than any restaurants meals I have had in Rome and other European cities.
James - PA, United States (November 2014)
This is our favorite convent so far! This is the second time we have stayed with the Sisters at Casa di Santa Brigida.
Nicholas - NJ, United States (July 2014)
It was absolutely wonderful. I so enjoyed my time there. The nuns were so hospitable. And the location was very convenient. The nunnery itself is quite gorgeous--and the rooftop garden lovely. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious. Highly recommended!
Jennifer L - MI, United States (June 2014)
Absolutely lovely place. Very serene; nuns were very nice; got to see the rooms where St. Bridget lived which was an added treat. The location is perfect - walking distance to everywhere, including loads of restaurants in Trastevere, where we ate almost every night. Highly recommend.
Margaret - IL, United States (October 2013)
I would highly recommend Casa di Santa Brigida to anyone who desires comfort, cleanliness and superb location. The nuns are very helpful, breakfast is bountiful with fresh fruit, good selection of meats and cheeses and fresh rolls of all types. Our room was a corner room and so had good cross ventilation.
