The breakfast was excellent.

What a wonderful stay in the peace and tranquillity of the monastery and its surrounding countryside. We went for long walks in the beautiful hills and met wonderful local people. The sweet kindness of the nuns enhanced our stayand the fellow guests at the Oasi were a delight. Clean large rooms, reasonably priced in a restful community... this was a wonderful part of our visit to southern Italy ! Va bene!

Staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough for us a quiet peaceful retreat. The location was great with the most magnificent views over the bay of Naples.
Keith - Western Australia, Australia (May 2015)
The room was a bit small but comfortable; beds were also comfortable; the in room bathroom a plus, but the shower was small; the nuns were very helpful and willing to provide dinner (at an added cost). The two dinners were the very best we had in Italy. The facility security was very comforting which provide a solid level of trust. The grounds around the facility were most enjoyable, uplifting and relaxing. The location was about 2 miles on the edge of Sorrento, with a spectacular view. Staying in the monastery provided a faith filled warmth and comfort that my wife and I enjoyed and have never experienced before, other than the previous monastery. My wife and I have already recommended the monastery to others.

The views from the sun terrace are stunning, and glorious to start and end your day with. The staff were lovely, welcoming and very helpful. The room I had was very spacious and a comfortable temperature. While I adored the hilltop location away from the bustle of central Sorrento, and the walk down was pleasant, the walk up was hard work! Most other guests had cars, although a bus does pass nearby and the Nuns will happily advise you of bus routes. I included dinner in my stay, which was several courses featuring home grown produce, was very tasty, healthy and filling. Would recommend overall.

Service was excellent and the company during dinner was hilarious. Dinner was simple, unpretentious and tasty. The Oasi is located up on a hill, however that should not deter you as there are two bus services, just ask the nuns. If you decide to walk, remember to bring good sturdy shoes, preferably hiking shoes as it can get pretty slippery going down. Avoid the main road but use a bike path instead.

We enjoyed our stay at Oasi Madre della Pace. Quiet and peaceful. The evening meals were excellent, with homemade Limoncello and nice local red wine. Breakfast was typically Italian. The views from the balcony were breathtaking. We commuted to Sorrento by bus each day. There was a small community bus which left from a nearby stop and the Amalfi bus from the main highway. The Sisters were warm and welcoming.

When we first arrived in Sorrento late at night, we were surprised and a bit upset when it took us a 40 € cab ride to get to the convent. We were also concerned that we were late for check-in. However, upon arrival we got a very warm welcome, and learned that we would be able to catch a local bus in and out of town for only 1€. When we woke up the next morning, we fell in love with the view and the convent itself, which had a lovely garden and beautiful terraces. We also came to love the little bus that took us and our neighbours in and out of Sorrento. When we got back to the peace and quiet of the convent, we were always happy to be there.

Great warmth and a spiritual atmosphere. I felt very welcome.
Mary - Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom (April 2013)
It was a very pleasant stay. The area is quiet. The view from the balconies was beautiful. Without a GPS we might have had trouble finding it and the entrance roads are very narrow. There are several nice resturants in the area and we enjoyed playing 'tourist'. The sisters were anxious to be be helpful and we were able to communicate with all of them, though not all spoke English and we speak little Italian.
Beverly - CA, United States (May 2012)
It is beautifully situated, with superb views from a big comfortably furnished balcony(recliners and chairs and tables with sunshades.
The nuns are delightful, helpful and very cheerful. The place has extensive, lovely grounds with a playground for children. The rooms are fine, the food is plentiful. We highly recommend this place.
Catherine M - TX, United States (April 2012)
This is really an Oasis of peace with the beautiful gardens and a breathtaking view of the bay and the city of Sorrento from the terrace. One of the best monasteries in my vacation.
aline - qc, canada (July 2011)
The view from the sun deck was awesome. The facilities were spotless, the rooms comfortable, the view fantastic, the meals excellent, and the nuns delightful.
John - NJ, United States (October 2009)
Cleanliness of room kindness of Sisters was as anticipated. Laughs with sister and her English were an added plus.
Unexpected fabulous view from back balcony.
Quality of food at breakfast was swell. The surrounding lemons & fruit trees was extra nice, too. nothing negative to report
