For those who want to see as much of Campania as possible, this monastery is one of the best choices on offer, being in close proximity to so many of the famous cities in the area. The 'Autostrada' between Naples and Salerno runs through Sant'Antonio Abate, so both of these towns can be reached with ease. It is also possible to visit Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii, Sorrento, Castellamare di Stabia, the Amalfi Coast and the isle of Capri - there is never a shortage of things to do and places to go in the area. The Sorrentine Peninsula is a wonderful destination, with the many towns built near hills providing breathtaking views north over the Bay of Naples, with the towering Mount Vesuvius in the background.
