The lodging is only a few hundred metres walk to the beach and marina, and the attractions of Sorrento and the surrounding area is always close by, with the nearby town of Sorrento offering breathtaking views from the hills above the city over the Bay and towards Naples and the towering Mount Vesuvius. The island of Capri is off the tip of the peninsula, and can be reached easily via the ferries that run from Sorrento. The island is a spectacular sight and definitely worth a trip to. Trips via train or car can easily get you to Naples, the capital of Campania. The city is a marvelous sight, as well as the surrounding areas, such as the historic ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum.
