The nuns at the venue offer warm and homely hospitality and it is open for all to enjoy. Well located near the Colosseum makes this a memorable Monastery Stay.
Well located to all the sights of central Rome, near the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
Rated 4.5 out of 5
We had a great stay at the Monastery. The nuns were very nice and friendly. The room was better than expected. Breakfast offer is limited and rooms that give on inside garden should be requested for a more satisfying stay.
Accommodation is housed in a large building which was recently renovated to modernize the interior. Rooms are spread across four floors with stair and elevator access.
Breakfast is included in the price. There are many cafe and dining options within walking distance of the guest house.

Our stay was a break between our flight to Europe and the start of a coach tour. We enjoyed a very quiet environment in a clean room with comfortable beds. There were restaurants and a super market very close to the monastery which was handy for meals and for picking up supplies like water and snacks. The breakfast at the monastery was good with cereal, juice, yogurt, bread, jams, buns and coffee. The nuns were very helpful and even arranged for a taxi to transport us early in the morning when we had to transfer to our tour hotel. The taxi was clean and the driver was very helpful. All in all it was a very positive experience.
Franklin - MB, Canada (August 2017)
Super clean and polite. 15 minute walk to Colosseum or Termini.
Ray - British Columbia, Canada (September 2016)
The stay was exactly as described and exactly what I expected. Congratulations! This is very rare. Very smooth and pleasant reception and stay overall.
Paul - , France (September 2016)
It is in a more 'local' area with a grocery store right up the street and St. John Lateran just down the road. It was a lovely stay.
Emily - Alberta, Canada (September 2016)
Well situated close to Coliseum. Just one metro line to Vatican.
Street quite busy but with windows closed and air conditionning, all was fine.
Well renovated bathroom.
Sisters welcoming.
Eileen - Quebec, Canada (August 2016)
I was very pleased at how clean and safe and welcoming this place was. The staff went out of their way to make sure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
Bernadette - MN, United States (August 2015)
Was exactly what we needed for our stay in Rome. We felt very welcome despite the language barrier. Would have prefered wifi access in the room; however, it was not difficult to go down to the main room to access it.
Karen - Alberta, Canada (July 2015)
Room was clean and air conditioned, friendly staff, very secure.
Celina - Victoria, Australia (August 2014)
We received a very warm welcome, and the room was simple but comfortable. The monastery is very quiet even though the location is so central.
Eleanor - London, United Kingdom (June 2014)
The facility and the Sisters were absolutely great! I obtained a key for after hours for Holy Week services with no problem. I was initially worried about the location …but that ended up being excellent. A tree-lined street, plenty of shops, near Metro, near many tourist sites … Definitely would do it again. The sleep quality was affected by some noisy travelers coming in "late" at night and not being sensitive to the other visitors.
Robert - MO, United States (April 2014)
The location was wonderful, the accommodations were just as described--comfortable, clean, convenient, friendly. The sisters and others working there were very helpful and welcoming; after extremely hot days visiting the ancient world, it was a wonderful respite!
Victoria - CA, United States (June 2012)
This was a fantastic location and we enjoyed our stay very much. The rooms were all well equipped and had ensuite bathrooms, extremely clean and well maintained. We were a group of 8 with 2 children which we could accomodate in a family room with 2 Adults and 2 Children. The location was only a 15 minute walk to the Colosseum and 5 minute walk to the Metro. There are some excellent places to eat right on the front street of the Monastery and down the side streets and several large supermarkets within a few minutes walk.
Simon - Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom (June 2012)
I was made to feel very welcome by the sisters and the manager. My only negative experience was the fact that, in the second room where I stayed, there was quite a bit of street noise.
Susan R - MA, United States (May 2011)
It was friendly, well located, with smiling personal. The rooms were very clean. The breakfast was always de same: same cheese every morning, only one kind of bread, and jam. The juice drink was only sugar. No fresh fruit.
Denise - Québec, Canada (October 2010)
The location was fantastic! A little Italian would have helped (no English spoken), though no problems at check-in or check-out.
Jacquelyn - GA, United States (April 2008)
Location was perfect for our needs. Rooms most adequate, and Sisters very pleasant, though we neither spoke French nor Italian, but smiles work always. Location, location, location - convenience to transportation, and wonderful selection of cafes and restaurants, if you preferred not to venture too far from "home".
Facilities were more that adequate, and as stated above, the Sisters most accommodating. We've recommended this facility to several of our friends and someday hope to return.
