The main chapel at the venue was opened in 1620, and contains a shrine dating back to the 9th century. Adorned with stunning frescoes, this is only one of twelve chapels at the venue. The surrounding area provides opportunity for hiking and bicycle riding in the warmer months, while the town of Biella is easily accessible for a day trip. The enormous grounds give guests an idea of Royal living as well as a serene environment. Guided tours of Santuario di Oropa, the former Royal guest house and its many ancient cathedrals are available to guests. Bookings can be made with reception. Breakfast is not included in the price. There are restaurants within the complex that offer meals. There are two conference rooms available, with the largest seating 150 people.
