This monastery is operated by the Istituto Secolare San Raffaele Arcangelo.

This is a modern, bright and luminous venue with plenty of areas where guests can take a moment to relax. Well kept gardens and a balcony terrace offer glorious views of the surrounding countryside.

Getting Around

Located on the southern side of the Vincenza city center. Close city access, surround by the lush Veneto countryside. Bus stops to local destinations and train station close by. Easy access with private vehicle.

	The only problem for me was the walk up the hill. I generally got a taxi from the station and it was difficult to go out for a walk in the evenings. If you are driving then this is a perfect stay, if you are younger than me ( ie under 70) probabily excellent too. Everything else was perfect!

	The barista nuns are a highlight of the trip. We stayed here two years ago and assumed their enthusiasm would have waned by our return. But they had the same joy in serving and welcoming. Love this place!

	I give top marks to almost every aspect of this well-run Albergo. I knocked off one point on cleanliness because the bathroom bin was full of the last guests' sanitary waste, and one on sleep quality for lack of sound-proofing. Guests need to be highly respectful of the peace of the place!

	Albergo San Raffaele is up on a hill and provides a gorgeous view of Vicenza. The breakfast was lovely and the staff made sure to supply my wheat-allergic sister with gluten free cookies and crackers. Also, they were fantastic about suggesting the best method to organize our tours so that we would only take one cab at the end of our day.

	Our favourite stay. You could walk into train station and town within 15/20 minutes. Really good welcome and nice to have the use of the chapel and places to sit inside and out other than your bedroom.
