If guests are looking to escape to a quiet part of the island andÂ be close to the beach and historic sites, this is an ideal monasteryÂ stay.

One of the main attractions in the area is the nature reserve of San Vero Milis. It is a wetlandÂ environment, with the flamingos spotted around the reserve from time to time. Another great site in the area is Tharros, which contains historic Roman remains.

The balcony offers stunning views over the water, and it is only a few seconds walk to the beach, making this monastery a perfect seaside retreat for all.

Guests can experience local cuisine cooked by one of the nuns in the refectory, which is attached to the lodging right on the beach. Comunita Evarestiniana makes its own wine from the nearby vineyards, and also makes and sells other local fare, such as quince jam and sun-dried tomatoes.

Getting Around

Located in the small town of San Vero Milis (a population of 2,500), North of the larger Oristano, the monastery offers a quiet relaxing environment on the Western side of the island. It is possible to take public transport around the region although use of a vehicle would allow easy access to all parts of the island.
