House of the Santuario di Oropa
The Sanctuary and Sacro Monte di Oropa, a UNESCO heritage site offers a unique heritage to discover. A unique offering in Italy's north.Santuario di Oropa is one of the main attractions of the area - the Savoy Royal Pavilion and sacred library (both parts of this complex) are UNESCO Heritage listed.
The main chapel at the venue was opened in 1620, and contains a shrine dating back to the 9th century. Adorned with stunning frescoes, this is only one of twelve chapels at the venue.
The surrounding area provides opportunity for hiking and bicycle riding in the warmer months, while the town of Biella is easily accessible for a day trip.

This monastery is operated by the Santuario di Oropa.This is a majestic and royal class retreat, which has been extensively renovated and expanded over the years by some of the best Italian architects. The enormous grounds give guests an idea of Royal living as well as a serene environment.
Guided tours of Santuario di Oropa, the former Royal guest house and its many ancient cathedrals are available to guests. Bookings can be made with reception.
Breakfast is not included in the price. There are restaurants within the complex that offer meals.
There are two conference rooms available, with the largest seating 150 people.

This venue was first occupied in the 4th century and founded by Saint Eusebio, who helped create the Vercelli Book, a 10th century English language manuscript. The venue was later used as a retreat for the Savoy Royal Family.Customer Reviews

The setting is beautiful, and the temperatures much cooler than down in the valley. We had a fantastic hike up the mountain behind the Sanctuario. The rooms were quiet and comfortable and the staff were very pleasant. |
