The lodging is found inside of the Gran Sasso National Park - the Gran Sasso mountain is the highest peak in the Apennines. This means there is plenty to do outdoors, as you are staying amongst some beautiful scenery that is waiting to be explored. The town of Acquasanta Terme is well known in the area for its thermal baths, which are quite popular with tourists from all over Europe and abroad. Acquasanta also has a beautiful old castle that still stands, as well as a couple of bridges that were built hundreds of years ago.

History

The monastery was built in the 10th century, and was originally made for Benedictine monks. It has since been converted to house tourists, but its historical charm still remains.
