The nearby municipality of Madesimo is famous for skiing and has over 50 kilometres of slopes. The slopes are best suited to intermediate skiiers, altough there are slopes suitable for all levels of skiier. The most challenging part of Madesimo is the Canalone piste, which is best attempted only by experts. In the warmer months, the area transforms into endless rolling greenery, providing an equally stunning view all year round, an ideal area for hiking. From the lodging it is possible for day trips into Milan as well as a trip across the border into Switzerland.
