Enjoy the internal Botanical Gardens and the gorgeous views from the terrace for a wonderful stay in Liguria. With plenty of history, and being in close proximity to other towns along the Ligurian coast, this is a fantastic offering.Citta Vecchia, the fortified walls around the town and the three main entrance gates should be seen, with history dating back to the 15th century (the town was attacked in Saracen raids in 1543). Museo Bicknell is the main museum in the town, with many fine pieces of art. Via dei Colli is the road following the steep coast nearby, offering panoramic views that are some of the best in Italy, and are a must see. The lodging itself is only a short trip from the French border, so a day trip to France is easily accessible from here, where Monaco and Nice are nearby.

This convent is operated by the Suore di San Giuseppe di Aosta.The relaxing gardens at the lodging are a perfect place to unwind and to have some quiet reflection. The house is a prominent feature along the coast of Bordighera, and the large bell tower of the convent strikes a grand figure.
Long Stays also available with special rates and on request. Every year, at the beginning of October, the sisters organize a week of spiritual exercises open to all. Request more details via the Additional Requirements field during submission of your Travel Plan.

The monastery is a stunning piece of architecture, as it was designed by renowned French architect Charles Garnier in 1873, who is famous for designing the casino and opera house in Monte-Carlo, Monaco (he also designed a number of other structures in Bordighera). There is a long hallway near the entrance of the lodging, filled with wonderful artwork.
