House of the Frati Minori o.f.m

This monastery will leave you breathless!The town is famous for having the longest stretch of unbroken beaches along the whole coast, making it a major tourist destination. The town of Maiori is very close to other exquisite places on the Amalfi Coast, including Minori, Atrani and Conca dei Marini, making this monastery a fantastic base for exploring the rest of the area. It is also possible for daytrips to the historical town of Pompei, Mount Vesuvius and the town of Salerno. From Salerno it is possible to reach the island of Sicily by ferry.

The chapel attached to the monastery is gorgeous inside and out, with stunning architecture and attention to detail shown.

Room - bathrooms quite small with tiny shower. Room had sea side view. Nice seating area. Evening meal was very good. Enza was. very helpful. People were very friendly. Very good location. |

Wow. Such a beautiful spot. We weren't sure what to expect, given what we'd seen of the area on Google Earth. But wow! What a wonderful place, and such a great view. Other than that, everything was perfect. Everyone tried their best to converse with us, and they were very welcoming. The grounds are peaceful, and beautiful. Far enough away from Amalfi to not feel touristy, but right on the beach, with a beautiful view of the harbor, with ferry acccess to Amalfi, Positano, Salerno and Capri. I would definitely go back. |
