Immaculately well kept guest house is warm and inviting. Within walking distance is the Saint Chiara Cathedral and Basilica di San Francesco, Assisi's most visited sites.
The convent is close to the Basilica di Santa Chiara and Chiesa di Sant Rufino. A little further is the World Heritage listed Basilica di San Francesco (Saint Francis). The Saint Francis Basilica was built after his canonization in 1228, and completed in 1253. The lower church hosts frescoes by renowned late-medieval artists Cimabue and Giotto. In the upper church there are frescoes of scenes in the life of Saint Francis previously ascribed to Giotto and now thought to be by artists of the circle of Pietro Cavallini of Rome. The Basilica was restored after being badly damaged in 1997 when an earthquake hit the town.
Rated 4.2 out of 5
The facility is brand-new and the rooms very nice, with great heating, though there was some construction noise, the exterior shutters could not be secured against rattling in the wind (except by shutting them) and the beds were not as comfortable as the rooms. The location is very walkable to the old city, and very handy for driving and parking.
This monastery is operated by the Frati Minori Cappuccini.
This guest hopuse offers breathtaking views over Assisi from its hillside location.
Spiritual retreats can be organized through this venue. Mass is celebrated in the chapel at 7:30am on weekdays and 9:00am on Sundays. The Sisters are able to book a local tour on horse carriage at reception - for Assisi and nearby towns.
Breakfast is included in the price. Other meals are available (additional) and bookings can be arranged with reception.

Kathryn - CA, United States (February 2018)
The sisters were very lovely and accommodating, however they spoke no English so I had to use a translator app on my phone to try and communicate a few times
Emily - Alberta, Canada (August 2016)
They have the most diligent and smiling sister ever! The entire household is very helpful from boiling hot water to getting around Assisi! The roo has got spectacular view and very spacious and clean! Quiet for a good night sleep. Lovely place to rest and visit. We love the friendly faces around !
Sonia - , Singapore (July 2016)
The rooms are relatively nice, but they are in the process of expanding the buildings. It's also about a 10 minute walk to Porta Nuova, so it's a little outside of town.
John - TX, United States (November 2011)
The room was clean and adequate. The food was quite good. The price was excellent and we loved Assisi. The beds were very hard and the shower was very small.
Mary - WI, United States (September 2011)
We unfortunately speak only English which we found hard to communicate with Italian Nuns and staff. Our fault not theirs. Staff very warm people
Very peaceful.
Edward - Auckland, New Zealand (May 2011)
All in all it was a wonderful experience right in the centre of old Assisi. We spoke to many people on our trip and told them about Monastery Stays.com and many said they didn't know such places were available to the general public and they would definitely look into for future vacations. Some friend at home used the website to book after we told them about you.
