House of the Suore Missionarie di Gesu Eterno Sacerdote
A tranquil monastery with breathtaking views over the Ligurian coast. Guests can also enjoy home cooked meals and the calm atmosphere - a terrific offering in a truly spectacular coastal town.
While in the city, there is a stunning castle right on the water which is around 500 years old and was built as a defence against pirates many years ago. The main cathedral in the city is also well worth a look, as it also has hundreds of years of history. South of the city centre is the Abbey of Cervara, which is a famous spiritual site, and is also a shining example of fine architecture and artwork.

It was a touch hard to find at first, but easy to navigate once you get your bearings. The place was lovely, and Victor, the host, was fantastic!! It was clean, had a lovely view, and easy to walk into the town.

The location is wonderful! It would have been difficult to find without Google Maps. The view and garden spaces are lovely. And, the service by the management team was excellent (I did not interact with any of the nuns.)

An truly amazing place. But first of all the sisters are fantastic hosts. It would take a lot of space to do justice to their hospitality and the beauty of the place, so I would mention only the garden, the view, the quietness, the fantastic meals (lunch and dinner) cooked there, and the friendly and relaxed atmosphere. However, it all comes at the price of climbing a lot of stairs from the town up. If you have luggage it is worth taking a taxi from the railway station, it leaves you on an alley a little uphill from the house, so you would only walk a few yards and steps downhill. It charged us 15 euros but it was worth every penny. When leaving you can walk relatively easy, even with luggage, downhill to the station.

The sisters were so lovely, and really gracious in their hospitality. I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. The location is spectacular, the rooms are spacious, comfortable and have wonderful views, meals are simple but hearty. I am hoping to return with an improved knowledge of Italian so I can converse more with the sisters.

The nuns were amazing! They were very kind and generous and the accommodations/garden and meals exceeded my expectations. I also enjoyed daily mass :).
Lisa - CO, United States (June 2014)
We were impressed (and perhaps a little surprised - pleasantly) that the comfort and needs of guests was such an important concern of the sisters. Their consideration was offered without having to ask. It equaled, even surpassed, the best hotels. At the same time we were free to enjoy our stay as we wished. There was no curfew, so we could come and go as we pleased. The sisters were ever helpful.

The sisters at this property are true gifts from God. The food was superb - and served with love, the location amazing and the room was large and clean. Even the shower was great - best water pressure of my entire 6 week journey! Also a special mention of Sister Maria Ecclesia. She radiates peace and love! My luggage was heavy and there were about 1000 steps - no exaggeration.
Michelle - CA, United States (April 2009)
A wonderful stay with gracious sisters, some other nice guests, comfortable room lovely meals.
Welcoming warm sisters and beautiful location access difficult - very high above town.
Lack of signage made it confusing on initial arrival didn't know how to enter monastery. Recommend to those who are agile. Language difficulty as only 1 sister spoke English hence patience required when communicating with others.
