The stay was perfect, great location and lovely, spiritual way to experience The Vatican City for the first time. The only addition I would have loved would have been Mass in the convent chapel. Many thanks and hope to be back. J

Great stay. A simple hardboiled egg for breakfast could be a nice addition.
Rick - , Netherlands (August 2022)
The absolute best place we stayed in Italy (stayed in two other monasteries.com locations). Location was the best. Cleanliness was the best. Friendliness and kindness was the best. Having an accessible chapel was so special.
Monica - OH, United States (July 2022)
Very nice overall experience so thank you.
Peter - , United Kingdom (April 2022)
Beautiful and secure property, delicious dinners (be prompt because courses are served family style) and incredible roof top views of St Peter's. Mass in Italian was spiritual. Thanks.
Sandra - OH, United States (February 2022)
Honestly was the best place I ever stay you feel the peace and is a great location to go from there to any place you want to go in Rome or take the train and go to explore other provinces in Italy I recommend it 100%
Andres - MA, United States (January 2022)
Thank you!

My stay was truly unbelievable and most memorable. I had travelled to Rome on this occasion for Christmas and to attend the Christmas Eve mass in St. Peter's. Wow it was just such a special time made more special by the sisters and staff at this monastery - thank you and I will return very soon.
Peter - , United Kingdom (December 2019)
Unspeakably beautiful view from terrace and my room. Cappuccino machines for breakfast was a plus. Language was easy to deal with, an English speaking sister was often around and she gave me tips about which buses to take, and that I could hear the papal angelus address just as clearly from the terrace as Nader the hot sun in the square. Extremely pleasant stay, more costly than some but worth it if you can afford it.
Thomas - WI, United States (August 2019)
Great Location. The rooftop terrace overlooks St Peter´s square and the Vatican. Sign on door is hard to read. Look for cast iron gate.
Gabriele - GA, United States (July 2019)
Most tourists are not aware that this is the best place to stay when visiting Rome. It is next door to Vatican City. The sisters are very friendly. The rooms are very clean and with modern comfort. It is located in an Extraterritorial Zone of the Holy See and as such, you are not subject to Italian taxes…! And the roof terrace offers a 10-star view over Piazza San Pietro. Did your hotel also have such a splendid view...?
Marc - , Belgium (April 2019)
Well-run by wonderful, caring people. I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to anyone I know looking for a safe, quiet, convenient place to stay, particularly if their trip centred on The Vatican
John D - Quebec, Canada (September 2018)
Wonderful location with breathtaking view of St. Peter's. Clean rooms and friendly sisters and support staff.
John - FL, United States (May 2018)
I wanted to stay as close to St Peter's Basilica as possible for Christmas Eve mass. This place for my needs perfectly. It was also protected and felt very safe and secure for a single female traveller as I was. The meals were an excellent extra cost and value and gave me a glimpse of the life and personalities of the nuns. The accommodations were immaculate, simple but tasteful and the view from the rooftop terrace was a wonderful unexpected surprise.
Jeannie - WA, United States (December 2017)
What a view and location. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Vatican City.
James - NC, United States (December 2017)
The sisters were very friendly and welcoming. Receptionists were very efficient. Limited English. One Indian sister spoke very good English - she was the main contact inside the location. Roof terrace - stunning views.
Stephen - Lancashire, United Kingdom (September 2017)
I loved it. Starting the day with chapel and then breakfast. It was so peaceful
Linda - Dorset, United Kingdom (April 2017)
It was brilliant! Many thanks to the Sisters and the staff; they couldn't have been more helpful.
Stephen - West Sussex, United Kingdom (October 2016)
The daily mass was really appreciated. Its proximity to St Peter's Square allowed us to be front and center during the Wednesday audience with the Pope. The Sister that manages the breakfast is really sweet and made sure we have the correct drink.
Meneses - , Singapore (October 2016)
AWESOME!!
Anthony - IA, United States (September 2016)
A perfect place if you want to go for a pilgrimage tour or even a retreat from the hussle and bussle of everyday life. Place is very safe and quiet. The sisters and the rest of the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Just a step away from St. Peter's Square and the view from the rooftop is awesome.
Marjorie - New South Wales, Australia (June 2016)
The convent was really lovely, and everyone was wonderful. I especially loved the amazing roof deck with views of St. Peter's Square. The private room and bathroom were comfortable and very clean, and the breakfast was perfectly adequate. It was across the street from St. Peter's, so getting to mass on Easter Sunday was a breeze. I will definitely recommend the convent to others!
Jennifer - MI, United States (March 2016)
A wonderful warm welcome from the sisters. Breakfast much better than expected, lovely granola. Fabulous roof terrace gave us a great view of everything happening in St. Peter's Square. Best place we have ever stayed in Rome. Hope to visit again next year.
Molly - Kent, United Kingdom (June 2015)
Wonderful location. Fabulous views from the terrace. Excellent service from the welcoming staff and front desk.
Beverly - Norfolk, United Kingdom (April 2015)
A friendly stay in a fantastically located convent overlooking St Peter's Square.
Finian - Dublin, Ireland (April 2015)
My welcome was the best I'd had in my 6 weeks of travel. What does one say about it's perfect location, so lucky to have found it. There was such a wonderful serenity also that made my being there a perfect way to end my travels.
Jill - Otago, New Zealand (August 2014)
Loved it. Nuns were sweet, precious. One of the main reasons I loved Rome.
Anna - AK, United States (May 2013)
We had a wonderful experience - all were so nice and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the views from their 4th floor terrace.
Elizabeth - NY, United States (August 2011)
Breakfast was not what I was hoping for. It was the only part of the stay not up to or better than I expected.
George - California, USA (April 2011)
Cleaner and more modern than I expected - also the reception ladies spoke a bit of English!
The breakfast was poor - bread and rolls stale.
James - Victoria, Australia (September 2010)
It was a lovely place to stay. Clean, modern, and friendly. I loved the nuns, too.
The friendly receptionist - alleviated my great anxiety about being in Rome by myself.
The view from the top piano was spectacular.
Harriet - PA, United States (September 2010)
The rooms were extremely well-appointed and comfortable. The Sisters were very warm and welcoming, and even sweet in their treatment of us. It was a perfect place to stay.
