Casa per Ferie Centro Giovanna Antida (LAR150) is beyond my expectations. Everyone at the Monastery were very helpful, and kind.
Carmen - CA, United States (October 2018)
Great value and service from the staff, easy location to find (close to Vatican), nice people and nuns eager to please.
Victor - CA, United States (September 2018)
Very clean rooms, professional staff that assists the sisters.
Jennifer - GA, USA (June 2018)
They went above and beyond to meet our needs, and everyone was so welcoming! We will definitely stay here again!
Julie - Washington DC, USA (May 2018)
Loved the clean simplicity and the sweet sisters. When we arrived there was nobody available who spoke any English, but between some Spanish and hand motions we figured things out. The shutters kept out morning light, but we were unfortunately in a corner room over a very busy intersection
Ruth - OR, United States (May 2018)
Mother Superior was amazing in her technical skills as she used her cell phone to translate to English. We especially appreciated the handy little book we had in our room which clearly identified the "must see" places in Rome and the travel directions to them. The breakfast was lovely too. Nice variety of fresh fruits and yogurt/milk. The vibrancy of the order was evident as young nuns were coming and going from the monastery. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone.
Jamie - Ontario, Canada (October 2017)
We really liked its peace and calm and the hospitality.
Marieann - New South Wales, Australia (October 2017)
Wonderful break, wish it had been longer. The sisters were excellent hosts, attentive without being inquisitive, lovely people always with a smile. The location was a little noisy ( main route adjacent ) but reasonably close to Vatican City and metro to other destinations.
John - Lancashire, United Kingdom (September 2017)
Sister Iole was most welcoming and since we didn't speak much Italian, French was a useful alternative. Coffee was amazingly delicious and breakfast nutricious.
Laurie - Ontario, Canada (September 2017)
The Sisters were very friendly and helpful with our visit to Rome. We felt very much at home there. Easy walking distance to restaurants, the Metro, the Vatican.
David - Ontario, Canada (September 2017)
I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it to anyone. The Sisters were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good. The room was very comfortable.
Charles - CA, United States (September 2017)
Good experience to learn some Italian words. The nun used Google Translate to aid in communication which was excellent. Prior to this we didn't know the Google Translate app could be used for spoken communication.
The location was close to the Vatican.
Marco - VIC, Australia (September 2017)
Very nice, about 15 minute walk to Vatican. Liked that it was in a neighborhood. Good gelato right next door, out back. For pizza, go to to Pummarella at Via Andrea Doria, #10. Excellent and very friendly. The convent is about 15 minute walk from Cipro Metro. Sisters were great. Arranged for a private taxi on the day I left bc my flight was very early. Made sure that I had something to eat even though it was 5:00 am. Easy to get there from airport with express train and metro on day i arrived. Beautiful chapel. Very nice stay. Highly recommend it.
Kevin - NY, United States (May 2017)
Walking distance to Vatican and other places of interest. Sisters very friendly and helpful. Buses or taxi easiest form of transport. Fabulous Gelateria directly across from accommodation best I have ever visited.
GEA - Highland, United Kingdom (April 2017)
We can't stress enough how we loved our stay there. The nuns are so welcoming and helpful, we felt so good in that place. We will definitely staying there again.
roseli - VA, United States (April 2017)
We had a wonderful time. The sisters were very sweet and helpful. We greatly appreciated being able to stay in Rome for a reasonable price. The rooms were spartan but we expected this, since I once stayed in a monastery in Paris.
Jennifer - CA, United States (March 2017)
We thoroughly enjoyed our 5-night stay here. Each time we arrived, we were greeted warmly by nuns and staff, who showed a sincere interest in us as individuals. Each time we left, we received the same loving hospitality. In a place with the hustle and bustle of Rome, we appreciated the quiet peaceful and loving atmosphere here.
Vickie - MN, United States (March 2017)
It was absolutely amazing and I would most definitely do it again. I have already recommended monasterystays.com to several friends. There was certainly a language barrier that google translate couldn't always overcome, but the nuns were wonderful and so sweet. Everyone was attentive and seemed determined to ensure that your stay was satisfactory.
Dawn - OH, United States (September 2016)
The Sisters were absolutely wonderful! We felt very welcome and comfortable during our stay and will definitely stay here again for future visits.
Even though there was a language barrier, I was most impressed with the Sister's use of Google translate for directions, recommendations, etc.
Paul - GA, United States (September 2016)
The nuns were really nice although they had little English and we had little Italian which made it difficult. There was a very useful fridge and freezer in the common area and a television. All areas were spotlessly clean. The air conditioning was really good, the beds and pillows were comfortable and there were blackout shutters on the windows which helped with sleeping. Although we couldn't understand much of what was said it's clear the nuns were lovely people.
Glenville - Hertfordshire, United Kingdom (August 2016)
We really enjoyed staying at Casa per Ferie Centro Santa Giovanna Antida. The sisters at Santa Giovanna were always helpful and friendly - they always made us feel at home.
Donato - Ontario, Canada (August 2016)
Excellent stay, definitely worth the stay. Lovely community of nuns. Did not want to leave.
Daniel - , United Kingdom (May 2016)
The sisters were most gracious and kind hosts, the room was bright, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was bountiful and easy. The location was perfect for walking to the Vatcian, Plaza Navona, and beyond. We enjoyed our stay very much!
Robin - WA, United States (May 2016)
Excellent stay! The Sisters there were very welcoming and friendly.
Luis - TX, United States (April 2016)
My stay at Casa Per Ferie was excellent. All the nuns were friendly. I need to learn more Italian so next time we can have longer conversations. Of course Google Translate helps with communication. It was a great place to stay. Everything was immaculately clean. After a long day of tours and playing tennis at a local club, it was nice to come back to a quiet place to recharge for the next day. The wifi worked(very important). I will stay here again.
Janet - SC, United States (December 2015)
The rooms and public areas were immaculate and very comfortable. This was really well placed for us, being within walking distance to both the metro and the Vatican. Our group had use of the church for mass and a sister set up each day, making sure we had everything we needed.
Julianne - , United Kingdom (October 2015)
I loved this monastery. The sisters were amazing, even the ones that didn't speak English. I was truly sad to leave at the end of my trip.
Ed - NY, United States (October 2015)
Thoroughly satisfied with everything, and everybody was lovely.
Rosemarie - Kent, United Kingdom (October 2015)
The nuns were so sweet and the rooms were extremely nice and clean. About a 15 minute walk to Vatican City and about 5-7 to the closest Metro station.
Mariam - WA, United States (September 2015)
I had a great stay at the Casa per Ferie. The location was simple to get to (about a 20-25 minute walk from St. Peter's Square) and easily accessible. The sisters were all very friendly and welcoming, and I enjoyed my room. Attending mass in the morning was also a treat, as the church was connected to the lodgings. Definitely recommend this place!
Flor De Liz - NY, United States (September 2015)
The sisters are very friendly. Condition of the rooms exceeded what we have expected.
Wee Yin - , Singapore (July 2015)
The sisters are lovely and helpful.

Brian - IN, United States (June 2015)
A big thank you for the very pleasant friendly welcome to all the sisters of the house. As a single traveller, I've kept myself very well felt in this fine atmosphere of this house. By bus no. 23 and 70 to get to the Vatican and the center well or for me in 20 minutes walk to the Vatican Museums and Cipro Metro Station. Everything in the house was great, very pleasant tourists from around the world. It was a very good time. Thank you
Gertrud - , Germany (June 2015)
This is a wonderful place close to subway, Vatican, etc. Rooms are clean and up to date. The sisters are kind and helpful.
Charles - VA, United States (May 2015)
We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all the Sisters in the Monastery. Keep up the good work. Wifi is awesome. And they clean our room everyday.
Jewel - Ontario, Canada (May 2015)
As soon as the doors opened we stepped from the busy street into a wonderful oasis of serenity. All of the Nuns were friendly and helpful - even if they could not understand us. We also found some nice small restaurants nearby.
It was an easy walk to the Vatican, but a bit more difficult to get to the tourist sites.
We really enjoyed our stay.
Donald - Hampshire, United Kingdom (April 2015)
The sisters are very nice and accommodating. The church is beautiful and there is daily Mass. Breakfast is very generous. The place is close to Cipro and ottaviano about 10-15 minute walk. Walking distance to the vatican museum. If you like walking St Peter's square is just about 20 minute walk. There is also a bus available.
Clarabelle - New South Wales, Australia (September 2014)
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very close to the Vatican and easy access to food shops and restaurants. The nuns were extremely helpful and friendly. Will come again when visiting Rome.
Jan - New South Wales, Australia (August 2014)
The nuns are very friendly. The convent is located out of the main tourist zones, but it is only a 8-10 minute walk to the Metro or the Vatican. Very clean rooms and public areas. We would stay here again.
Daniel - VA, United States (August 2014)
I shall book again at the same place; the place was serene and comfortable - all we needed was on hand. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was perfect and public transport (buses to Metro) practically right on their doorstep; St.Peter's was within 15 minutes on foot - brisk walk. The nuns did not speak English but there were no issues with communicating with them at all.
Patrick - New South Wales, Australia (July 2014)
The nuns were extremely kind and helpful. It was a wonderful haven of peace and tranquility in the busy city. The breakfasts were excellent with ideal timings.
Stephen - Kent, United Kingdom (July 2014)
I will always remember the kindness and hospitality of the Sisters. Though they spoke little English and I little Italian we managed to communicate with few problems. The sisters were warm and welcoming and I felt genuine sadness when I left. The breakfast was surprisingly good. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. The atmosphere was warm, peaceful and welcoming.
Sandra - New South Wales, Australia (June 2014)
Everyone was so friendly and helpful!
Jillian - British Columbia, Canada (June 2014)
Wonderful. The place is very close to vatican and close to metro to connect to rest of the Rome. The nuns are very caring and helpful. They do not speak any english but communication was not a problem. Highly recommended if you are looking for an accommodation in Rome.

What a lovely tranquil spot to return to after a very busy days sight-seeing in Rome.
Geraldine - Renfrewshire, United Kingdom (April 2014)
Very friendly and helpful Sisters. The convent is very clean, spacious and well kept. 5 steps away from a beautiful church. I would definitely return here.

This is a wonderful place to stay. The nuns are warmly welcoming and there is a great sense of calm here. It's very easy to get around Rome from here, too.

Christopher - Durham, United Kingdom (October 2012)
I loved my stay at the convent. I was traveling alone and felt very welcomed and well taken care of. The sisters were very attentive. There definitely was a language barrier but we managed.
Valarie - CA, United States (October 2012)
Great option, very clean, 10-minute walk from Vatican, the nuns are the sweetest.
No wi-fi access though and rooms not sound-proof.
Kim - Quebec, Canada (May 2012)
Our stay was most enjoyable, and we will be certain to return if our travels bring us back to Rome! The Sisters were most friendly, a pleasure to meet and stay with on our vacation. Grazie!!
Barry - Ontario, Canada (April 2012)
Absolutely wonderful. I received the most warm welcome to this beautiful convent and enjoyed everything about my stay here. The location is great, the Vatican is down the street and the underground train service and buses are very close by and easy to use. The convent is only four stops on the underground from the spanish steps. The facilities were fabulous, exceptionally clean and comfortable. I am looking forward to returning as soon as possible.
Helen - South Australia, Australia (March 2012)
It is a nice place and the sisters are delightful and friendly. The location is convenient. The only drawback is our room is beside the main street and thus there is a bit noise from the traffic but bearable.
Man Yee Lily - , Hong Kong (February 2012)
We had a very pleasant stay with the sisters at the guest house. We felt more than welcome and the sisters were very helpful, for instance in lending us an umbrella on a rainy day.
Benno - , Netherlands (January 2012)
Excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Molly - Kent, United Kingdom (October 2011)
Very kind supportive sisters who were very patient with me given I could not speak more than basic Italian phrases. A good location and very clean. An excellent place to stay.
Therese - Western Australia, Australia (October 2011)
Air conditioner was not working in our replacement room, the original had a plumbing problem. Made sleeping a bit uncomfortable. More than made up for by the helpfulness of the sisters who were also great fun to talk to.

Sisters Anna and Giovanna were very nice and caring hosts.
Philip - Quebec, Canada (September 2011)

Dear Team of Reservations Monastery Stays - once again you have assisted with planning a wonderful visit on by behalf to Rome following the necessary aborted plans in December 2010. The warm welcome by the Sisters was incredible, despite our language difference, that we overcame without difficulty within a day or two. The Residence was wonderful and conformed with your website information. In the event of your contact with the Residence, please convey my very best wishes to Sister Giovanna and Sr. Anna. Very many thanks once again to the Team of Monastery Stays for all your assistance to me.
Gloria - Republic of Ireland, Ireland (May 2011)
Very friendly welcome. Limited/no English combined with my limited/no Italian made communication difficult.
Elizabeth - Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom (April 2011)
Just what we wanted and matched the description well. Clean, comfy in a basic way. Excellent bathroom. Not paying for unnecessary extras. Good location. Spacious premises.Quiet ambiance. Sister Anna was a delight. Very noisy road at the front. Cereal for breakfast would have been a nice addition but really not important. I have already recommended it!
Charlotte - Oxfordshire, United Kingdom (October 2009)
The nuns were very friendly and helpful, the accommodation was clean and modern and everything was within walking distance.
Astra - Queensland, Australia (September 2009)
Rooms and location were as advertised; noise and lack of air/cooling in room were insufferable. Clean rooms, friendly Sisters.
Mike - British Columbia, Canada (September 2008)
I was very pleased with all the extra work that Monastery Stays put in to my reservation in Rome. The monastery was very clean, and very accomodating regarding curfew times. The sisters were very friendly and the room was quite large. It was a good stay with friendly people.
